Neurological rehabilitation

Rita Xantus Chief Physiotherapist based on her 30 years of experience and evidence-based science about activity-based training of spinal cord injury, stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, and cerebral palsy put together a specific, individually taylored rehabilitation guideline, which shows significant improvement in the patients functions, ADLs, and quality of life. Working together with Márta Simonffy MD neurologist has a huge impact on the outcome. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) can improve directly and indirectly the movement and  sensation for patients with SCI, CP, TBI, and stroke, also decrease symptoms for patients with Parkinson’s disease.

Neurological rehabilitation fundamentals are:

1. Use it or lose it!

2. Use it and improve it!

3. Repetition matters!

4. Time matters!

5. Specificity matters!

These fundamentals are parts of the basic guideline for a successful rehabilitation program, which we offer to our patients at the Clinic. We had lots of success stories in the past 16 years and there is more to come.

Patients after epidural stimulation surgery are referred from Verita Neuro for advanced neurorehabilitation and mapping to our Clinic. Denisz Kovacs was trained for mapping in Thailand and working not only as physiotherapist here at the Clinic, but also as mapping specialist. We are pleased to have the opportunity to work with the patients from abroad. In my opinion, the more we work together on the functional improvement after epidural strimulation surgery, the better the outcome will be.
